The first release of the one man project 'Gorestine'.
The Tether is a demo EP bringing the sound that is hopefully to come in future releases. The dark natured record was mostly recorded at home and has been in the works for a while along with a lot of more material. Inspired by old school black metal as well as atmospheric and post-black metal and funeral doom, the EP brings multiple elements together to create chilling ambience and foreboding walls of sound.
The EP vaguely follows the theme and story of trekking through a dark woodland of living, moving, malevolent trees and eventually being overcome by them, becoming a part of the woodland and one with the trees. Tethering ones soul in the winding branches.

Recorded in 2020 & 2021.
